How can I get a COVID-19 test?

When you call the office we will determine what type of testing you need. This is often helpful for patients who are currently symptomatic or asymptomatic and seeking testing because they believe they might have been exposed, or would like to be tested before going back to work, attending school or other activities.

Please see the chart below for all the tests we have available in the office.

What if I have symptoms?

If you are currently ill and think you might have COVID-19, call our office to schedule a testing appointment and we can help you determine if you require a COVID-19 viral RNA test to learn if you have an acute infection. Note that the CDC has issued guidelines for viral RNA and Antigen testing to determine acute infection. You can read those here.

What if I don't have symptoms?

Call the office and we can discuss the different types of tests available to determine what makes the most sense for you.

What if I think I had COVID but I am no longer symptomatic?

If you believe that you recently had COVID-19, you may be a good candidate for a Serum Antibody Test. Call the office to make sure the correct time frame has passed and the right test is being ordered.

Where can I go for more information about COVID-19?

Because information is constantly changing, we suggest visiting the CDC Website for the latest information about symptoms, testing, prevention and other guidelines.

Our practice also makes regular COVID-19 testing updates on our social channels located at the bottom of this page.

You can also check with your own primary care provider (if you are not a member of the practice) and your local health department.

COVID-19 Travel Information

All international travel and some stateside travel requires proof of a negative PCR nasal swab test taken within 72 hours of departure. As numbers rise, oftentimes available PCRs may not be back in 72 hours. Some countries allow the test to be done 4 or more days before departure. More information is available here.
